On Sunday, 6th June 2010, 'Team Alfie' ran the Great Midlands Fun Run's infamous 8.5 mile course for the second time around the streets of Sutton Coldfield and Sutton Park.

The event was, again, a fantastic day on the Friends of Alfie Johnson calender. The dedicated team of 8 (including Max the Labrador), did a wonderful job without picking up any injuries. All entrants got around the course in under 1hr 40 mins, some even setting personal best times. Although storms had earlier threatened the event, It ending up being a glorious summer's day. Friends and family later enjoyed a picnic in Sutton Park with Alfie which was the perfect end to a perfect day.

We would like to thank everyone who ran for Alfie and all who very kindly sponsored each runner. We look forward to running next year's event on Sunday 5th June, 2011 with the hope of putting in a large team to run for Alfie.
