Great Midlands Fun Run 2012
Team Alfie will be taking to the streets of Sutton Coldfield for their fourth time to take part in the 2012 Great Midlands Fun Run.
This year sees the 10th Anniversary of the Great Midlands Fun Run, which has raised over £1,200,000 for charities and good causes, such as ours, since it's launch.
Last year we raised £3500 and were able to make a difference to two deserving causes. Pens Meadow Special School, and The Phoenix Centre, both in Wordsley, both benefitted from money raised from this wonderful event. The money we donated has been put to good use, with Pens Meadow School using their donation to help extend the schools Sensory Room, whilst The Phoenix Centre has also been able to improve their Sensory Room and Sensory Garden as a result of everyone’s hard work last year.
This year, we are hoping to recruit yet another large team of runners to help us raise as much money as possible to help disabled children, like Alfie, in around the Black Country. In the meantime, we would like to call on all who would like to register for Team Alfie so we can help make a difference once again to help children with disabilities.
To register visit the great Midlands Fun Run site at: www.greatmidlandsfunrun.com
