Staff at the Sytner BMW dealership in Four Oaks, Sutton, scaled Mount Snowdon in April to raise money for Alfie.
Site manager, Steve Trenbirth, had this to say:
"On the 18th April staff from Sytner BMW did a sponsored climb up Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Friends of Alfie Johnson. When we heard about little Alfie we we're touched by his story, and decided that this year we would raise money for him. Some of us in the team, myself included, even cycled up Mount Snowdon, as if walking wasn't bad enough, but it was for a great cause. We managed to raise £500 for Alfie which we hope will go some way to helping to enhance the quality of his life".
The Friends of Alfie Johnson would like to thank everyone who took part in this fantastic event in support of Alfie.
On Sunday 26th April, at 12.30 pm, Alfie's dad, Paul, visited the BBC Radio WM, 95.6 fm studio in The Mailbox, Birmingham, to chat to Professor Carl Chinn.
We would like to thank Carl and the team at BBC WM for giving us the time to talk about the Friends of Alfie Johnson, and high-lighting the positive work that we are doing to help a wonderful little boy.
On Sunday 19th April, Sutton Town FC held a fund-raising football match against Telford Town FC at their home-ground in Sutton.
After a very promising first half from Telford, Sutton eventually went on to win 4-1, with Alfie's dad, Paul, hitting the post after a penalty was awarded before he hobbled off after 10 mins with a quad injury.
The day was a great success with £350 being raised for the Friends of Alfie Johnson. Club Chairman, Tom Keogh, very kindly donated a solid silver necklace for auction at this year's main event at The Copthorne Hotel in June.
Alfie's dad, Paul added:
"The day was a great success and we are so grateful to all the players, officials, Sutton FC staff and to everyone who came along to show their support. Thank you all so much."
On Saturday 25th April, Marks and Spencers in the Merry Hill Centre, kindly agreed for the Friends of Alfie Johnson to bag-pack for their customers.
The event was a great success raising £433 for Alfie. We would like to thank the staff and customers of Marks and Spencers for all their support in helping our fund-raising event.
Thank you.
